Privacy Policy
Effective October 8, 2026
Horizon Academies (“Horizon,” “we”) is a public school network in development in Nashville, Tennessee. This policy explains what information we collect through horizonacademies.org, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
Information you give us
When you fill out one of our forms — to join our interest list, share your support, signal intent to enroll, or register for a program such as our fall camps — or when you email us, we receive the information you choose to provide. That can include names, email addresses, phone numbers, and, for program registrations completed by a parent or guardian, a child’s name, grade, school, and any allergies or needs you tell us about.
Our forms are hosted by Google Forms, so what you enter there is also handled under Google’s privacy policy.
Information collected automatically
- Meta Pixel. Some pages use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It tells us which pages are visited and helps us measure and improve our outreach, including on Facebook and Instagram. To do this, Meta receives information such as the page you visited, your IP address, browser and device details, and a cookie, and may connect that activity to a Facebook or Instagram account you are logged into. Meta’s use of this information is governed by Meta’s privacy policy.
- Hosting and security. Our website is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes basic technical information (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
- Fonts. Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address in order to deliver them.
How we use information
We use the information we receive to respond to you, run and communicate about our programs, keep children safe and cared for at our events, share updates you asked for, and understand how people find and use our website. We do not sell personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers who help us run this website and our programs (such as Google, Meta, and Cloudflare), with staff and partners who need it to run a program you signed up for, or when required by law.
Children
This website is intended for parents, guardians, educators, and supporters — not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from them. Registrations for children’s programs are completed by a parent or guardian, and information about a child is used only to run that program. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
- You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the information you have given us, or to stop emailing you, by writing to [email protected].
- You can limit ad-related tracking through your browser’s cookie settings, a content blocker, or your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences.
Keeping information safe
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold and keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we will post the update here with a new effective date. Questions? Email [email protected].
